Today is my birthday. . . Thanks! ![]()
For me it’s the big 3-0. I think my mom is wrong, I don’t feel like 30.
Anyway, the point is I have seen a few bloggers do a post on their birthday that corresponds to their newly acquired chronological age with some cool or little known facts about them. And I intend to copy them. ![]()
So here it goes, in no particular order, I actually wrote them all and randomized the lines. . .
- I was obsessed with Michael Jackson when I was a kid. I even had a doll with the glove. Haha!
- I was actually born on Thanksgiving Day. My Grandfather called me Turkey.
- I went to college for Aeronautical Science for about a year and a half.
- I was Homeschooled from 8th grade on.
- I shot a Hog once and thought it was a bear after the sound it made. Then I hoped the Momma bear wasn’t going to come and get me in my 5-foot tree stand.

- I developed a severe social anxiety during college which is why I quit.
- My Dad took me to my first Warped Tour when I was 14 and listened to all the bands with me. Bless his heart, I had no idea what I was putting him through at the time. He still talks about the kid with a half-inch bolt through his nose. He is pretty awesome though

- I took my cousin on my Honeymoon Cruise with me and not the Bride! (There was no bride and the cruise was paid for)

- I have gotten every one of my parent’s and grandparent’s cars airborn at one point or another.
- I used to be a Jack of all Trade and a Master of None. I’m working on that…
- I was almost 20 when I started dating…
- I started learning how to Fly Airplanes when I was 15, flew by myself at 16 and got my Private Pilot’s License at 17. I took a few years off and started teaching people how to fly whe I was 22.
- I think the first CD I ever got was Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. Haha!
- I have been a computer geek ever since I got AOL working on my cousins computer when I was 14. 28k modems were so sweet!
- I actually like Romantic Comedies and will watch them by myself if I have to.

- I never walk around barefoot. Even in the house I am usually at least wearing socks. My feet are soft. Like baby’s ass soft.
- I used to race BMX and Motocross.
- I can’t dance. And I don’t usually drink enough anymore to where I get to the point where I think I can. It’s not pretty…
- My mom wanted to name me “Chip.”
- I took my Baby Brother and his best friend to their first Strip Club when they were 18. That was like 4 months ago. Sorry mom!
- I tried to live out my entire 20′s and make up for the High School years in a few short months when I was 26/27. Yeah, don’t do that…
- I don’t watch Football or any sport really. I know, here’s my “Man Card”…
- I played Junior Ice Hockey (yes, in South Florida) for about 5 years. I’m too short to play forward, I was a goaltender. I went to a hockey camp in Guelph, Ontario one summer and they said I played at a Junior B or AA level there. I thought that was pretty good coming from playing roller hockey in Miami!

- I went to a Psyciatrist at one point to analyze a series of dreams I kept having that suddenly changed. Pretty interesting stuff. I didn’t know the word “Archetype” existed before then.
- During one Spring Break party I went to after my friends came back from college it was necessary for them to use a Hand Truck or “Dollie” to get me back into the house. Because A.) I wasn’t consious and B.) Nobody wanted to touch me. Yummy…
- I played Bass and Guitar in Punk and Hardcore bands when I was a teenager.
- My musical taste is immensely wide! I will watch anything live as long as the musicians are talented. But I still prefer Heavy Metal and I have a newly aquired taste for Dubstep, in moderation…
- I’ve flown backwards in an airplane before… on purpose.
- I have yet to travel Abroad and I really want to. Sad, I know…
- I should’ve been a Cowboy. In fact, I like to think of that Toby Keith song as my theme song. Even though I was born in the city and still live in one. In my heart… I should’ve been a Cowboy

So, there you have it! Cool I am writing this from the home I grew up in while my family is asleep and my brother’s dog is eating the cat’s poop out of the litter box.
Thinking back I put my parents though a little bit of hell but I was a pretty good kid *wink*
But seriously, I love my parents. They have always and still will do anything for me. My Dad is the hardest working man I have ever known and has the patience of a saint on top of it all. My Mom plays a huge role in keeping the family business going and still finds time to keep us all close. And now that my brothers are both adults I look up to both of them in certain respects. It’s cool to think about the past and fun to imagine what the future has in store but I’m still having a blast right now.
Hope you guys liked this post. Maybe I’ll do another one when I turn 40 so stay tuned. I know it will be WAY more interesting
